While beginning a day out to enjoy the Fall colors I pulled over to photograph a bend in a dirt road.  I forgot to adjust my camera settings from the night before which resulted in an over exposed image which was shaky due to the long exposure which was not intended to be used off the tripod.  I realized my mistake immediately, re adjusted and carried on.  It wasn't until I got home and reviewed my images from the day that I noticed the result of my "mistake" was actually my favorite image from the day.  It caused me to reflect on the fact that the path isn't always clear and sometimes our mistakes can shine a different light which can allow us to see things a bit differently.
