The Sawyer Glacier is an active tidewater glacier located in the Tracy Arm Fjord in Southeast Alaska.  The glacier, like most in the world, is melting away due to climate change.  The prehistoric monolithic ice formations have been carving the surface of the earth for millennia and most could disappear by the year 2100.  Many are expected to be gone much sooner or have already vanished.
